Job Description

The candidate will be responsible for creating simulation models as well as converting existing Simplis models to Pspice and/or Saber. A strong, fundamental skills in any circuit simulation software is a must. The candidate will have learning and training opportunities to upgrade skills in switched mode power supply simulation.

Responsibilities

  • Convert simulation models from Simplis to Pspice and/or Saber
  • Create simulation models based on the specialties of the company's products
  • Correlate simulation models from bench data
  • Create simulation schematic based on the company's simulation models
  • Design and develop switching power supply units (psu) using the company's products for design documentation/training material or customer requirements
  • Provide switching power supply simulation support and technical advice to the company's customers worldwide
  • Research and write technical application materials for publication and presentation at technical conferences, industry seminars, trade magazines and data books
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Electronics Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • Proficiency with any circuit simulation tools (e.g., SPICE, PSpice, LTspice, Saber, SIMPLIS/SIMetrix
  • Solid understanding of analog and digital circuits
  • 1-2 years of experience as power supply design engineer or design experience in any of the following areas: circuit simulation, power converters/conversion/management, switching/switch mode power supply units (psu), inverters, power electronics design equipment, analog electronics design, control loop design and power magnetics design (transformer, chokes or inductors)
  • Excellent written and oral communications with experience in specification creation, technical report writing and test plans/instructions
