Job Summary:
To be able to know and conduct the materials testing for construction materials according to standard methods and specification. To be familiar for the National & International Standard test methods & specification with ASTM, AASHTO & DPWH.
Detailed Job Description:
- To identify laboratory equipment and its uses.
- To be oriented on the laboratory equipment proper handling and maintenance.
- Perform the quality test on soil and soil aggregates base on standard.
- Perform the quality test on course and fine aggregates base on standard.
- Conduct Field Density test by sand cone method and non-nuclear SDG.
- Perform testing for fresh concrete, sampling, slump test, unit weight for yield of concrete.
- Conduct compression / flexural test for hardened concrete.
- Conduct testing for rebars, physical appearance, tensile and bending.
- To conduct physical test of cement, sampling, consistency & time setting.
- Prepared worksheet for every test conducted.
- Encode and finalized test reports after double checking by SLT & LIC.
- Responsible for the monthly physical inventory of Measuring & Testing Equipment (MTE)
and Calibration Schedule to be submitted to your supervisor.
- Prepare Daily & Weekly accomplishment reports and submit to laboratory supervisor regularly every week.
- Maintain proper handling and maintenance of all laboratory equipment / apparatus in the laboratory.
- Responsible to report any damages or defective equipment to the laboratory supervisor with supporting incident report and MTE Evaluation report.
- Maintain 5S good housekeeping in the whole laboratory.
- Perform such other function as may be assigned to you by the company's management.
- Continue study and learn other test procedures and specifications in ASTM, AASHTO and DPWH.
