JOB DUTIES:

  • Creates and discusses with DSAS, Dean and Principal the comprehensive school counselling program for the students.
  • Develops and maintains a written plan for effective delivery of the school counselling program based on the school's needs.
  • Assists all students, individually or in groups, with developing academic, career and personal/social skills, goals and plans.
  • Accurately and appropriately interprets and utilizes student's data.
  • Collaborates with parents/guardians and educators to assist students with educational and career planning
  • Provides educational and occupational information to the students through seminars, workshops, symposia, and other related activities
  • Maintains students' records and ensure the confidentiality of the same
  • Implements developmentally appropriate and prevention-oriented group activities to meet student needs and school grades
  • Consults and collaborates effectively with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators and other educational/community resources regarding students with identified concerns and needs
  • Implements an effective referral and follow-up process.

JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:

  • Graduate of Master of Arts in Guidance and Counseling
  • Must be a Registered Guidance Counselor (RGC)

Experience:

  • Guidance Counselor: 1 year (Preferred)

License/Certification:

  • License for Guidance Counselor (Required)
