JOB TITLE: STOREROOM CLERK

JOB SUMMARY
The Storeroom Clerk is responsible, storing, and issuing supplies, materials, and equipment in an accurate, timely, and organized manner. This position ensures proper documentation, stock rotation, and compliance with inventory control procedures to support daily operations efficiently.
WORKING INVIRONMENT
Under the direction Cost Controller as immediate superior who participates in the proper storage of items purchased. Handle Purchase Requisitions and Stock Transfer Issuance. Monitor inventory, prepare reports, predict and anticipate consumption, identifies and recommend best practices in storage and can work under minimum supervision.
Closely work with Cost Control Assistant, Purchasing and Receiving Clerk especially to a Cost Controller during audit and reconciliation of inventory.
MAIN DUTIES
· Ensure accuracy, audit compliance, policies and procedure on issuance of Item located in Main Storeroom.
· Maintains receiving, warehousing, and distribution by initiating, coordinating, and enforcing program, operational, and personnel policies and procedures.
· Checking and maintaining par stock level if there is enough in the inventory to meet requirements.
· Maintains physical condition of Storeroom by planning and implementing new design layouts; inspecting equipment; and requisitions for replacement.
· Resolve Storeroom issues and concerns relating to the conditions and status of stored items.
· Maintaining a filing system and updating appropriate records when required.
· Ensure the storeroom, and loading areas are clean, organized, and orderly at all times.
· Log and label incoming inventory and materials, then store them in the proper, designated locations
· Conduct routine physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and audits to ensure inventory records are accurate.
· Track inventory levels, identify discrepancies, and notify management of low stock levels or excess inventory
· Organize and rotate stock, often using methods like FIFO (First In, First Out), to minimize waste and loss.
· Monitor and report any damaged, expired, or obsolete ("dead stock") items.
· Assist in preparing purchase requisitions for replenishing stock as directed.
· Distribute Raw Materials and Supplies as required.
· Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all incoming, outgoing, and on-hand inventory, often utilizing inventory management software or manual logs
· Ensure proper temperature and storage conditions for perishable and non-perishable items
· Assist in disposal of expired or damaged items following procedures.
· Adhere to safety standards and procedures for handling and storing materials, and operating equipment.
OTHER FUNCTIONS
Performs other related duties, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit.
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED
· Familiarity with stock rotation (FIFO/LIFO) principles
· Understanding of food safety and storage standards.
· Ability to maintain accurate records and perform basic data entry.
· Good communication and teamwork skills.
· Strong sense of accountability and integrity.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
· High school diploma or vocational course in supply management, logistics, or related field.
· At least 1–2 years of experience in storeroom, warehouse, or inventory management (preferably in hospitality, hotel, or food service industry).
· Knowledge of basic inventory systems and documentation processes.
· Basic computer skills (MS Excel, inventory software).
· Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management.
· Physically fit and capable of lifting moderate loads.
· Honest, reliable, and able to work with minimal supervision.
