Position Title: Hatchery Assistant

Job Summary:

The Hatchery Crew plays a crucial role in the incubation and hatching process of eggs within a poultry or fish farming environment. This position involves maintaining optimal conditions for egg incubation, monitoring the health and development of embryos, and ensuring a successful hatching process.

Key Responsibilities:

• Egg Incubation:
• Set up and maintain incubators to provide the ideal environment for egg development.
• Monitor and regulate temperature, humidity, and ventilation systems in the incubation area.
• Embryo Monitoring:
• Regularly inspect eggs to assess embryo development.
• Identify and address any issues or abnormalities during the incubation process.
• Hatching Process:
• Assist in the hatching process, ensuring a smooth transition for chicks or fry.
• Provide necessary care and support during the hatching period.
• Quality Control:
• Conduct quality checks on hatched chicks or fry to ensure they meet established standards.
• Identify and separate any unhealthy or non-viable specimens.
• Record Keeping:
• Maintain accurate records of hatchery activities, including incubation parameters, hatching success rates, and any issues encountered.
• Compile data for reporting purposes.
• Cleaning and Sanitation:
• Keep the hatchery facility clean and sanitary to prevent the spread of diseases.
• Follow biosecurity protocols to maintain a healthy hatchery environment.
• Collaboration:
• Work closely with other members of the hatchery team to ensure seamless operations.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and colleagues regarding any concerns or improvements.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a hatchery or similar agricultural setting is preferred.
• Knowledge of egg incubation processes and equipment.
• Understanding of basic animal husbandry principles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Can drive 4-wheels and has driver's licensed

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
• Comfortable working in varying environmental conditions, including temperature-controlled areas.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: Php15,284.83 per month
