The
Area Sales Manager
is responsible for overseeing and developing a team of Bancassurance Sales Executives (BSEs). This role ensures the achievement of sales targets, service standards, and key performance indicators (KPIs) within the assigned area.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Safeguard and enhance the reputation of the bancassurance business in assigned branches.
- Ensure each team member consistently meets agreed sales targets and service levels.
- Implement activity management standards and provide BSEs with the necessary resources and support to perform effectively.
- Strengthen collaboration with branch leadership and staff to drive referrals and sales results.
- Build and sustain strong professional relationships with branch area heads and other key bank personnel through regular meetings and ongoing communication to achieve production goals.
- Motivate, train, and coach BSEs while ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines and ethical standards.
- Identify and coordinate training needs for BSEs and bank branch employees, including communication support as required.
- Prepare, consolidate, and analyze performance reports for management and partner stakeholders.
- Actively participate in company-required meetings, training programs, and development activities.
- Perform other related functions as assigned by immediate leadership to support overall business objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
- Minimum of 3–5 years of sales experience in the banking, insurance, or financial services industry, with at least 1–2 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
- Strong leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
- Excellent planning, organizational, and coaching abilities.
- Proficient in computer applications and reporting tools.
