JOB SUMMARY

The O&M Solar Electrician is tasked to ensure that all the solar PV systems assigned to him are producing at optimum capacity. He ensures that the system breakdowns are reported, analyzed, and rectified as quickly and as efficiently as possible.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Solar PV Installation

  • Assist with all the requirements for solar PV installations
  • Serve as the foreman for maintenance, relocation or repairs
  • Work collaboratively with the installation team and install in accordance with company's existing installation standards.

Solar PV Inspection & Maintenance

  • Understand the target production per day per site and ensure a continuous energy production of inverters to hit those targets
  • Perform detailed PV system inspection based on checklists provided
  • Efficiently use testing tools and record and report findings
  • Identify faults/problems and to effect corrective measures at minimal time
  • Repair of any fault found during inspection
  • Electrical works during operations and maintenance works
  • Hands on work for system upgrades during operations and maintenance
  • Conduct PV cleaning activities as per schedule
  • Perform immediate restoration of site PV communication system during communication failures
  • Escalate system Issues immediately, as needed

Reporting

  • Reports all Identified faults to O&M Manager and any issues that may affect the system production
  • Report the quarterly O&M findings to O&M Manager
  • Report daily system production and weather to O&M Manager and QA Engineer Follow required reporting template and standard
  • Timely reimbursement/liquidation reports to O&M Manager
  • Assist in other necessary work that may be required

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Job Qualifications:

  • At least 2nd year college of course related to electrical installations With TESDA certification of NC2
  • With COSH or BOSH Certificate
  • Must be confident and assertive
  • 2 years' experience in solar photovoltaic electrical work
  • Good understanding of solar design and string configuration
  • Basic electrical knowledge required
  • Has a valid drivers license and is able to easily travel to project sites
