We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations within the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Procurement Strategy & Planning
- Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and operational needs.
- Forecast procurement requirements based on operational demands, seasonal trends, and client contracts.
- Supplier & Vendor Management
- Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
- Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements with suppliers.
- Establish and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.
- Operational Coordination
- Collaborate with warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of required materials, parts, and equipment.
- Manage the procurement of freight, packaging, and handling services for logistics operations.
- Cost & Inventory Control
- Monitor and manage purchasing budgets to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
- Oversee inventory levels, lead times, and reorder processes to minimize delays and excess stock.
- Compliance & Documentation
- Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and performance reports.
- Team Leadership
- Supervise and mentor purchasing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in procurement.
- Conduct training to enhance team skills in vendor management, negotiation, and cost control.
Qualifications
- Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CPP) are an advantage.
- Experience:
- Minimum of 2–5 years of purchasing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
- Proven track record in vendor negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier performance management.
- Skills & Competencies:
- Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, logistics operations, and international sourcing.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Proficient in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office applications.
- Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
