We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Purchasing Manager to oversee procurement operations within the logistics industry. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, and cost optimization, ensuring timely procurement of goods and services while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Procurement Strategy & Planning
  • Develop and implement purchasing strategies aligned with company goals and operational needs.
  • Forecast procurement requirements based on operational demands, seasonal trends, and client contracts.
  • Supplier & Vendor Management
  • Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers to meet cost, quality, and delivery requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, payment terms, and service-level agreements with suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong, long-term supplier relationships.
  • Operational Coordination
  • Collaborate with warehouse, transportation, and operations teams to ensure timely availability of required materials, parts, and equipment.
  • Manage the procurement of freight, packaging, and handling services for logistics operations.
  • Cost & Inventory Control
  • Monitor and manage purchasing budgets to achieve cost savings without compromising quality.
  • Oversee inventory levels, lead times, and reorder processes to minimize delays and excess stock.
  • Compliance & Documentation
  • Ensure all purchasing activities comply with company policies, contractual requirements, and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate records of purchase orders, supplier agreements, and performance reports.
  • Team Leadership
  • Supervise and mentor purchasing staff, ensuring adherence to best practices in procurement.
  • Conduct training to enhance team skills in vendor management, negotiation, and cost control.

Qualifications

  • Education:
  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., CIPS, CPSM, CPP) are an advantage.
  • Experience:
  • Minimum of 2–5 years of purchasing experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role within the logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain industry.
  • Proven track record in vendor negotiation, cost reduction, and supplier performance management.
  • Skills & Competencies:
  • Strong knowledge of procurement best practices, logistics operations, and international sourcing.
  • Excellent negotiation, analytical, and decision-making skills.
  • Proficient in ERP systems, procurement software, and MS Office applications.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and relationship-building abilities.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Php35, Php40,000.00 per month
