  1. Bowling Technician is responsible for maintaining and repairing the mechanical and technical systems used in bowling alleys, particularly the automatic pinsetters, ball return systems, scoring equipment, and other related machinery.

  2. The Bowling Technician ensures that all bowling equipment and machinery operates smoothly and safely for customers. This includes preventative maintenance, troubleshooting malfunctions, performing repairs, and assisting with installations or upgrades of equipment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preventive Maintenance:

  • Regularly inspect and maintain bowling equipment (pinsetters, ball returns, scoring systems).

  • Lubricate moving parts and replace worn-out components.
  • Keep detailed maintenance logs.

  • Troubleshooting & Repairs:

  • Diagnose and fix mechanical, electrical, or electronic issues with pinsetters and scoring systems.

  • Quickly resolve lane issues during open hours to minimize downtime.
  • Repair or replace belts, motors, sensors, and other key components.

  • Lane & Equipment Setup:

  • Calibrate lanes and scoring systems for accuracy.

  • Install or upgrade scoring systems, lighting, or other new technology.
  • Ensure lanes meet USBC standards (if applicable).

  • Customer Service:

  • Respond to on-the-spot mechanical issues reported by customers or staff.

  • Communicate effectively with the front desk and management about machine statuses.

  • Safety & Cleanliness:

  • Follow all safety protocols and ensure safe operation of machinery.
