Sanitary Welder

• High school diploma or GED required; technical certification in welding or pipefitting preferred.
• 3+ years of welding experience, with specific expertise in sanitary (hygienic) TIG welding.
• Proficient in welding stainless steel piping and components per sanitary standards (e.g., 3-A, ASME BPE).
• Skilled in orbital welding and manual TIG welding on thin-wall tubing.
• Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and weld maps.
• Familiarity with clean-in-place (CIP) systems, passivation, and hygienic design principles.
• Strong attention to detail to ensure clean, smooth, and contaminant-free welds.
• Certification in sanitary welding or ASME/AWS welding standards is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform TIG Welding on stainless steel piping, plates, and components to sanitary standards (e.g., 3-A, ASME BPE)
• Read and interpret P&IDs, isometric drawings, and technical specifications.
• Fabricate and install sanitary piping, fittings, valves, and related systems.
• Use orbital and laser welding machines and other precision equipment as required.
• Ensure cleanliness of welds to prevent contamination (e.g., passivation, proper purging with argon)
• Conduct weld inspection including visual inspections and bore-scope checks as needed.
• Maintain documentation of weld logs and materials as needed for QC compliance.
• Work collaboratively with Mechanical Supervisor, Technical Engineers, and fabricators.
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work environment.
