Key Responsibilities:
Community Mobilization and Group Development
- Organize and strengthen community-based financial groups such as Savings and Credit Groups (SCGs), Income Generation Groups (IGGs), and local cooperatives within GNIP's Community Development Projects (CDPs).
- Conduct regular group meetings and development sessions to promote responsible financial practices, mutual accountability, and group solidarity.
- Monitor group performance, savings behavior, and repayment trends to ensure sustainability.
Loan Facilitation and Portfolio Management
- Conduct borrower profiling, credit investigation, and validation for individual loan applicants, SCGs, IGGs, and cooperatives.
- Assist loan applicants in preparing required documentation, including business proposals, household income and expense sheets, and feasibility studies.
- Facilitate the signing of loan agreements and the disbursement of loans, ensuring all terms are clearly understood and documented.
- Ensure timely collection of loan repayments as per agreed terms, and implement follow-up measures as needed.
Financial Reporting and Documentation
- Submit accurate and timely reports including:
- Monthly collection reports
- IG Monthly Operational Reports (IG MOR)
- Loan repayment (LR) summaries
- Program and collection updates via Web Program system
- Consolidate and review all loan-related documents to ensure compliance and audit-readiness.
Program Implementation and Capacity Building
- Lead or support the implementation of livelihood, cooperative, and microenterprise development projects under GNIP's social economy framework.
- Provide capacity-building sessions on financial literacy, entrepreneurship, and basic business planning to borrowers and community members.
- Stay informed about local market conditions and business opportunities and share insights to enhance program effectiveness.
Partnership and Coordination
- Build and maintain partnerships with local government units, training institutions, and private sector actors relevant to microfinance, financial inclusion, and small business development.
- Coordinate closely with Field Managers and CDP teams to align with broader community development efforts.
- Actively participate in strategic planning and feedback sessions with the MFI Division and Head Office.
Other Responsibilities
- Represent GNSDMI in community and partner engagements as needed.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Project Manager, Division Manager, or Country Director.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree (any Business course with agricultural and microfinance background).
- With at least three (3) years of relevant experience in the same field.
- Adept in undertaking, conducting, and promoting Income Generation Programs
- Knowledgeable in savings mobilization, loans and microfinancing
- Able to acquaint themselves with the community and identify groups for IGPs.
- Able to set up a simple monitoring system for evaluating the IGPs.
- Understands the community and identify groups/occupations for whom IGPs are necessary.
- Adapt IGP activities/programs to local conditions and identify local resources and mobilize them.
- Capable of promoting an understanding of IGPs in the community and link IGPs with local private enterprise and marketing.
- Capable of promoting a small-scale industry.
- With International NGO experience.
