About the role
We are seeking an experienced Mold Maker to join our dynamic team at Metro Container Corporation. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for designing, fabricating, repairing, and maintaining molds used in the injection molding process for plastic containers. The role involves precision machining, assembly, polishing, and troubleshooting of molds to ensure efficient production and high-quality output. Based in our Pasig City facility, your expertise will be crucial in ensuring seamless manufacturing operations and delivering exceptional products to our valued customers.
What you'll be doing
- Design and fabricate new molds according to engineering specifications
- Perform regular maintenance and repairs on existing molds to keep them in optimal condition
- Troubleshoot any issues with molds and implement solutions to minimise downtime
- Collaborate with the production team to ensure molds are effectively integrated into the manufacturing process
- Maintain accurate records of mold inventory, usage, and maintenance activities
- Continuously explore opportunities to improve mold design and production efficiency
What we're looking for
- Minimum 2-years experience as a Mold Maker or similar role in a manufacturing environment.
- Proficient in the use of mold-making tools and equipment, including CNC machines, lathes, and grinders.
- Strong understanding of plastic injection molding processes and materials.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
- Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Team player with effective communication and collaboration skills.
