Gardener

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in gardening, landscaping, or groundskeeping is an advantage.
• Knowledge of plant care, soil health, pest control, and gardening equipment.
• Physically fit and able to perform manual outdoor work under various weather conditions.
• Basic understanding of safe chemical handling procedures.
• Willingness to work early shifts, weekends, or holidays as needed.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain and care for all landscaped areas including lawns, flower beds, trees, shrubs, and decorative plants.
• Perform regular watering, weeding, mowing, pruning, and trimming of garden and outdoor areas.
• Apply fertilizers, pesticides, and soil treatments as directed, in accordance with safety regulations.
• Operate and maintain gardening tools and equipment in good working condition.
• Ensure cleanliness of garden areas, pathways, and outdoor guest spaces by collecting fallen leaves and trash.
• Monitor plant health and report signs of disease, infestation, or poor soil conditions.
• Assist in seasonal planting and landscape design implementation as required.
• Support the setup and decoration of garden areas for resort events and functions.
• Comply with all safety procedures related to chemical handling and equipment use.
• Report any irrigation system issues, hazards, or landscaping concerns to the Maintenance Supervisor.
