Project Engineer

I MAJOR RESPONSIBILITY

A.      Prepares Structural Design & Analysis using a cost effective/most economical design software and applying all the possible value engineering. Must make sure that structural integrity of the design is always in place and in accordance with design standards

B.      Preventive Maintenance Works of all Facilities and Project Sites.

C.      Prepares Project schedules / management software tools of all projects (minor or major) making sure that the target completion is strictly followed.

D.      Construction Monitoring of all Project and Repair Sites. Weekly site inspection to be done with the frequency of visit depending on the instruction of the immediate head. Prepares monitoring and accomplishment reports of all projects.

E Prepares Architectural and Structural detailed drawing preparation and designing work including minor detail on mech, sanitary and electrical plans and to include preparation of detailed spot details, perspective drawings (using photoshop enhancing and rendering), area / quantity computation. All of details to be done using AutoCAD Drafting software for Architectural, Structural, Sanitary, Electrical and Mechanical drawings.

F Preparation of Billing Accomplishment of Contractors/Subcontractors/Suppliers

G.     Preparation of Cost Evaluation of Contractors/Subcontractors/Suppliers.

H.      Preparation of Bill of Materials/Quantity Take-off which includes estimate of materials and labor cost for the project with a high accuracy level.

II SPECIFIC DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

A.      ENGINEERING OFFICE WORK

• Monitoring of Construction Materials Delivery.
• Prepares Projected Job Order Work of all the necessary activities and assigns work to in-house maintenance or accredited contractor which are needed for the day or week.
• Prepares bill of materials requirement and minor estimate of labor and materials.
• Coordination Works which includes documentation of all activities and prepares communication letters/emails with designers and end users including phone calls, viber and text messages.
• Preparation of detail drawings and specifications in case of on the spot planning requirements.
• Prepares Utility Checklist of all major and minor equipments and tools in construction as part of preventive maintenance monitoring.
• Conducts and attends pre-construction meetings for proposed fit out inside tenants lease space, new construction, repairs and improvement/restorations
• Monitors, Checks and Prepares work accomplishments and preventive maintenance for Structural defects/repairs, Electrical faulty wirings/repairs, Water, Sanitary and LPG leak/repair problems, Architectural finishing/repair works
• Monitoring/Follow up schedule of deliveries, negotiate price, discuss specification & quality, warranties, terms and conditions, scope of works, availability
• Building & Property Maintenance Work. Receiving of Repair Requests and immediately attends to minor/major repair and emergency works.
• Able to expedite request for info from designers regarding specification, drawing details.
• Sourcing/Canvassing of construction materials and labor work.
• Able to Prepare Purchase Order/Job Orders and Purchase Request and Project Contracts
• Preparation of Summary of Expenses for every project/repair work

B.      ENGINEERING DESIGN WORK

• Preparation of Construction Methodology / Possible Approach before and during implementation of a project.
• Interpretation/can read architectural, structural, electrical and sanitary/plumbing plans mechanical, fire protection and auxilliaries.
• Minor designing of Architectural, Sanitary/Plumbing, Fire protection, Auxilliaries and Mechanical plans.
• Major designing of Structural Plans
• Preparation of scope of works, specifications, and terms of reference for new construction including repair/renovation works.
• General Value Engineering designs and recommendations

C.      ENGINEERING FIELD WORK

• Classify / Recommends Contractor who will handle the work at the construction or repair site.
• Prepares and implements safety and health programs for the project.
• Prepares "before and after" photos of the project and repair restoration work.
• Regularly check and make inventories of construction materials delivered at the site
• Handles the processing of Building and Occupancy permits and other construction permits like Application for Water and Electrical Connections, ECC, DENR, LLDA
• Site inspection and monitoring of Mall facilities, New / On-going Projects and Repair work at different project sites and facilities

D.      DOCUMENTATION / FILING SYSTEM

• Efficient filing system at all times and safekeeping of construction/blueprint plans and other related documents.
• Scanning, Proper Filing and Preparation of soft copies and blueprint construction plans including blue printing / photocopying of documents and construction plans for easy retrieval.
• Proper retrieval tagging of As-built Plans, Drawings, Location Plans and other Construction plans and detail drawings
