About the role

We are seeking for a Finance and Accounting Associate to join WELCOME BANK (RURAL BANK), INC.' in Ortigas, Pasig City, Metro Manila. This is a full-time position where you will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations and reporting of our organisation.

What you'll be doing

  • Assist in the preparation of head office-branch financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Perform accounting tasks such as accounts receivable, accounts payable, and general ledger reconciliations
  • Contribute to the month-end and year-end closing process
  • Provide support in the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and financial analyses
  • Ensure accurate and timely recording of financial transactions
  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of accounting policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide financial information and insights
  • Perform other ad-hoc financial and accounting duties as required

What we're looking for

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
  • 1-3 years of relevant experience in financial accounting and reporting, preferably in the banking or financial services industry
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards
  • Proficient in the use of accounting software, spreadsheets, and other financial tools
  • Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Familiarity with regulatory requirements in the banking industry
