Job Overview

We are hiring a Cook Helper who can support kitchen operations for a pre-opening American diner concept. The role involves assisting in food preparation, cooking, and maintaining kitchen standards to ensure consistent quality and smooth service.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing and cooking Western/American diner dishes such as burgers, fries, pasta, and grilled items
  • Support daily mise en place and station preparation
  • Operate and clean kitchen tools and equipment safely
  • Maintain proper food handling, hygiene, and sanitation practices
  • Work closely with the cooks and kitchen team during fast-paced service
  • Follow established kitchen procedures and recipes
  • Ensure cleanliness and organization of work areas

Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of solid kitchen experience (required)
  • Skilled in basic to intermediate cooking tasks; not limited to simple kitchen work
  • Knowledgeable in Western/American cuisine preferred
  • Familiar with food safety, kitchen protocols, and equipment
  • Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment
  • Preferably a resident of Baguio City or willing to relocate before onboarding
  • Reliable, committed, and able to adapt quickly in a pre-opening setup
