Accounting Supervisor/Manager

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee the daily operations of the accounting department including:
  • Accounts payable/receivable
  • General ledger
  • Bank reconciliations
  • Tax reporting
  • Month-end and year-end closing
  • Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP/IFRS
  • Monitor and analyze accounting data and produce financial reports or statements
  • Establish and enforce proper accounting methods, policies, and principles
  • Improve systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Assign projects and direct staff to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Meet financial accounting objectives and deadlines
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Provide recommendations to strategically enhance financial performance and business opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Accountancy, Finance, or a related field (required)
  • Minimum of 2-3 years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role
  • Solid knowledge of accounting principles, regulations (GAAP/IFRS), and financial reporting
  • Experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle)
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills
