JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Build, assemble, and repair injection molds following engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Set up and operate precision machine tools such as milling machines, lathes, grinders and EDM equipment.
  • Troubleshoot, adjust and modify molds to optimize performance.
  • Collaborate with teams of Product and Development, Production and Engineering & Maintenance to meet quality and production standards.
  • Maintain molds to minimize downtime and extend mold life.
  • Inspect molds and finished parts to ensure they meet specifications and tolerances.
  • Follow safety procedures and keep the workspace clean and organized.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, Technical or Vocational Training in mold making or machining is preferred.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in injection mold making or mold fabrication and maintenance.
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Skilled in operating machine tools including CNC, EDM, milling and grinding machines.
  • Strong knowledge of plastic injection molding processes and mold components.
  • Ability to perform precision measurements using calipers, micrometers and other instruments.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
