Oversee the overall management of the factory, ensuring alignment with marketing, growth, profitability, and productivity objectives. Responsible for the efficient operation of facilities and assets, and for the effective implementation of company policies, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Establish guidelines and oversee the development, review, and integration of the plant's short- and long-term objectives, plans, and strategies
  • Production: Ensure that the production goals are achieved and ensures quality of oil/pellets produced through optimization of manpower and machinery at the least cost.
  • Maintenance: Ensure that the maintenance activities are directed towards improvements and designs of mechanical works to achieve optimum plant efficiency and minimize downtime. Also, formulates an effective preventive maintenance program. Ensure that the repairs and work undertaken conform to the manufacturer's standard and in accordance with the safety code.
  • Logistics Operations: Ensure that there is proper supervision and direction of all loading and unloading of products like CNO, pellets, and copra.
  • Administrative Functions: Ensure that benefits and policies are properly implemented to maintain labor peace.
  • Finance: Ensure that the Finance Staff maintains proper safekeeping, disbursement, and recording of transactions in coordination with the Head Office Finance Department.
  • Monitor the performance of the Plant regularly versus plans and standards, analyzes deviations, pinpoints areas for improvement, and directs appropriate courses of action to ensure prompt and appropriate solutions.
  • Direct the implementation of approved policies, plans, and budgets to achieve the established objectives and targets of the plant.
  • Review the overall operations of the Plant to ensure that the necessary processes are in place and responsibilities and authorities are properly delegated for efficient and effective operations, subject to adequate controls.
  • Direct coordination among departments to ensure harmonious working relations.
  • Monitor and assess business, political, and economic conditions for possible opportunities and threats to the operations of the plant and recommends timely and appropriate courses of action.
  • Ensure adherence of the departments to all corporate policies, procedures, and controls and government regulations. Conforms to government regulations on pollution, safety code, and good housekeeping.
  • Direct, guide, train, motivate, and evaluate the performance of officers and staff directly supervised.
  • Represent the plant in various external professional organizations.
  • Develop personal contacts with private and government institutions to keep abreast with business/economic development and to solicit business opportunities for the company.
  • Ensure the development of competent technical staff needed by the Plant.
  • Adhere to and comply with all management programs implemented by the company, including but not limited to food safety and quality management system, environmental, health, and safety regulations, sustainability initiatives, and operational excellence frameworks.

Qualifications:

  • A graduate of Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,  Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related field.
  • At least Five (5) years of related experience in manufacturing operations, ideally in supervisory or mid-level management roles. (Experience in production, maintenance coordination, and project supervision is highly valued)
  • With track record of process improvement, cost control, and team development.
  • Familiarity with performance metrics like OEE, yield loss, maintenance KPI and cost-per-MT.
  • Understanding of production workflows, equipment reliability, and process control.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on safety, discipline, and continuous improvement.
  • With strong leadership skills and an effective communicator.
  • High integrity and accountability—especially in enforcing standards and mentoring teams.
  • Ability to identify bottlenecks, analyze root causes, and implement corrective actions.
  • Adaptability to fast-paced environment and shifting priorities.
  • Able to direct the efforts of a team of professionals to attain production goals.
  • Clear written and verbal communication for reporting and SOP development
  • Certifications in  Occupational Safety & Health (e.g., K3 Operator or equivalent) ISO standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001), Project Management (e.g., PMP or PRINCE2), Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) is a plus.
