Position overview

As the Regional Purchasing Executive, you will handle the regional purchases and ensure timely delivery of products to our sites and customers. You will collaborate closely with vendors, local countries, supply chain, commercial, procurement and finance colleagues across Asia Pacific. You will be the anchor point that ensures vendors meet the agreed delivery dates and supports our journey to success.

You will be an integral part of developing our regional purchasing function Regional Purchasing is currently under tremendous transformation – a rather exciting journey in a fast-paced environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Ensure that all order requisitions (OR) are sourced and converted into Purchase orders (PO).
  • Create, update and release POs in our ERP system, JD Edwards (JDE).
  • Process Order Confirmations, follow-up on POs and validate demand, pricing, conditions and delivery dates.
  • Support Commercial and Procurement on vendor price updates in JDE.
  • Develop close relationships with vendors and monitor delivery timeliness, handle deviations and claims.
  • Check and validate commercial terms on purchase orders versus Agreements.
  • Serve as the liaison between local countries, Supply Chain, Commercial and vendor.
  • Facilitate shipments and work directly with custom brokers/import agents to ensure efficient deliveries.
  • Generate/ establish reports and dashboards to communicate vendor performance to stakeholders.
  • Participate in cross-functional meetings, projects and initiatives to drive continuous improvement and alignment across the organization.

Position requirements & key abilities

We expect you to bring a can-do attitude to the table and can convince vendors to ensure deliveries On-Time-In-Full (OTIF). You have strong business acumen, and your communicative skills are strong. You are result oriented with a strong drive for success. You know how to negotiate in a simple, respectful and convincing way to get vendors to support our targets. You furthermore bring the following:

  • Minimum 5–10 years of hands-on experience in purchasing operations within a regional or global supply chain environment.
  • Proven track record in managing end-to-end purchasing processes — from Order Requisition to Purchase Order (PO) generation and booking.
  • Experience working within the APAC region, with a strong understanding of regional trade, import/export regulations, and logistics requirements.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering
  • Strong English proficiency – Mandarin is advantageous but not required.
  • Excellent communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively across different cultures, functional teams and levels of the organization.
  • Problem-solving mindset with the ability to analyze complex situations, identify root causes, and develop quick and practical solutions.
  • Strong attention to detail and with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
