For the General Accountant position, the team is looking for a candidate who combines strong technical proficiency with analytical and problem-solving abilities, effective communication and interpersonal skills, alignment with the organization's culture, and a results-driven approach.

  • Technical Expertise: You'll have a strong grasp of accounting principles, financial analysis, and reporting. We are also seeking experience in budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills: Your approach will be meticulous and detail-oriented, ensuring the accuracy of all financial transactions. You should be able to analyze financial performance and suggest improvements to our processes.
  • Communication & Collaboration: You must be a team player, able to work cross-functionally with other departments to support organizational goals. Strong oral and written communication skills are essential.
  • Adaptability & Cultural Fit: You'll be open to learning new technologies and processes, thriving in a fast-paced environment where you can adjust to industry-specific needs.

Job Description:

  • Financial Reporting & Analysis: You will manage all financial records, ensuring accurate and real-time data for trial balances. You'll prepare and analyze monthly profit and loss statements, process journal entries, and assist in developing quarterly financial reports with insightful analysis.
  • Business Support: You'll act as a financial partner to various departments, assisting with financial reporting, costing, and pricing models. You will also review business documents to ensure financial clarity and alignment with company goals.
  • Process Improvement: You will be encouraged to proactively identify opportunities to improve financial processes and recommend solutions that enhance efficiency and accuracy.
  • Ad Hoc Tasks: You will provide business continuity support by assisting with urgent tasks when the Finance Manager is absent, ensuring uninterrupted operations.

Qualifications:

  • Education: A Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related business administration course is required.
  • Experience: A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in accounting and finance.
  • Technical Proficiency: You must have the ability to maintain computerized bookkeeping records and have experience using accounting systems like QuickBooks or Xero. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially advanced Microsoft Excel, is essential.
  • Communication & Leadership: Strong oral and written communication skills with leadership potential.
