Job Title: Transport Network Staff

Department: Transport / Logistics

Reports To: Transport Supervisor / Transport Manager

Job Overview:

The Transport Network Staff is responsible for supporting the efficient operation of the company's transport network. This role ensures accurate coordination of vehicle movements, timely communication with drivers, monitoring of transport activities, and maintaining accurate documentation. The position plays a key role in ensuring safe, compliant, and seamless transport operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor daily vehicle schedules, routes, and assignments and coordinate with drivers regarding dispatch times, trip instructions, and any changes..
  • Assist in route planning based on capacity, priorities, and operational requirements.
  • Maintain updated trip logs, fuel usage, trip tickets, and delivery records.
  • Ensure all transport-related documents are complete and properly filed.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly reports on fleet utilization, delays, and performance.
  • Serve as the main point-of-contact between drivers, operations, and other departments.
  • Check the validity of driver documents such as licenses and IDs.
  • Support vehicle compliance checks (registration, OR/CR, insurance, preventive maintenance scheduling).
  • Assist in coordinating service vehicle requests across departments.
  • Help monitor fuel cards, GPS units, and other transport equipment.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in any course
  • Experience in transport coordination, dispatching, logistics, or similar role is an advantage.
  • Strong communication and coordination skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office, especially Excel/Google Sheets.
  • Familiarity with transport management systems or GPS tracking tools is a plus.
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability.
