JOB DESCRIPTION
The Fryer Operator is responsible in performing the safe preparation and operation of the fryers and the proper and timely frying of products according to the standard time and temperature established for each product.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Sets up and operates frying equipment to the appropriate time and temperature prior to the loading of products to ensure that these reach safe internal temperature that kills harmful bacteria and prevents foodborne illnesses.
- Loads and unloads fryers to protect products from falling on floors and prevent serious burns.
- Monitors frying temperature and time, observes product color and uniformity to prevent burning and ensure final product conforms to standard specifications.
- Handles and maintains all frying equipment, tools and supplies to increase life expectancy and ensure the quality and safety of food products.
- Transfers products with care to cooling area, ensuring no cross contamination occurs due to the elimination of microorganism is no longer possible at this point.
- Reports equipment problems, product issues and accidents to superiors for proper and immediate action.
- Accomplishes monitoring forms to record results of activities as they happen for future reference purposes.
- Cleans and practices Clean as You Go (CLAYGO) in his/her work station to promote a safe and clean work environment.
- Reports food safety incidences to superiors to intervene against actual or suspected threats and protect consumer's interest and business integrity.
- Learns and performs other section functions as the need arises.
QUALIFICATIONS GUIDE
- Licenses or Certification: None required.
- Education & Training: Must be a High School/Trade or Vocational School Graduate. With Baking Technology/Commercial Cooking/Baking Pastry Production training preferred.
- Skills & Experience: Preferably with 1 to 2 years baking experience in a food manufacturing/ production line. An equivalent combination of training and experience indicating possession of the succeeding knowledge and abilities may substitute for the education and experience requisites.
- Willing to work near Merville, Paranaque City.
- Can start ASAP.
