DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the implementation and monitoring of safety programs in accordance with DOLE regulations.
  • Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors
  • Conducts workplace safety inspection to ensure zero loss time accidents
  • Conducts hazard analysis of work instruction methods and procedures
  • Conducts toolbox meetings to remind workers and employees on ensuring tools, equipment and work stations are safe to avoid any form of accident.
  • Reviews and approves all work permits and safety plans
  • Evaluates risks and hazards to determine and immediately enforce preventive and corrective actions
  • Leads the implementation of safety program
  • Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses
  • Promotes safety practices and enforces safety guidelines at the job site
  • Performs emergency response drills
  • Ensure all safety documentation and reports are accurate and regularly updated.
  • Perform other related duties as may be assigned by management.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate of any four (4) year course.
  • With at least one to two years (1-2) work experience in field of safety management.
  • Must have completed COSH or BOSH training with valid certification.
  • Knowledgeable on occupational safety and health standards.
  • Strong competencies in time management, initiative, stress tolerance, technical job knowledge, attention to detail, and customer service orientation.
  • Must be able to analyze safety data, communicate findings clearly, and take appropriate action.
  • Proficient on preparing job hazard analysis, inspection/safety and DOLE compliance reports.
  • Willing to work onsite at Laguna.
