Job Description
The Data Architect is responsible for the overall design and the approach to designing both the logical and the physical data architecture of the data warehouse and data lake. The Data Architect should have a broad understanding of data warehousing, ETL, big data, cloud architecture and is responsible for providing technical leadership to the implementation teams

  • Responsible for designing the logical and the physical data models of the data lake including the metadata and the corresponding data type definitions.
  • Maps the source system data to the target tables in the data lake.
  • Reviews the downstream requirements to ensure feasibility and availability in the data lake as well as providing the data mapping which will identify the correct source in the data lake.
  • Logical Data Model, Physical Data Model, and DDL.
  • Source to Target Mapping, Business Rule Definition, and Data Validation.
  • Feasibility Assessment, Downstream Mapping, and Data Validation.

Qualifications

  • Must have a Bachelor's Degree in any related field of study
  • Must have at least 3 years total work experience in data warehousing, ETL, big data, and cloud architecture
