Position Summary
A CNC staff member supervises CNC operators to ensure the production goals, quality standards, and safety protocols are met by coordinating daily workflow, providing guidance and feedback, and troubleshooting issues in real time. This role involves coaching and mentoring team's members, fostering a positive work environment, and acting a key liaison with other departments like engineering and maintenance to maintain efficient production process and equipment.
Scope and Responsibilities
Task Delegation of work to his/her associates
Machine Set-up (trouble shooting, parameter change, and qualification)
Operators Training (certification and re-fresher cource regarding updates (software & hardware)
Performance Monitoring (Productivity, Quality and Efficiency) of Machine and Operators
Reviewing, revising and establishing procedures/process
Manage Plan and Scheduling (Models, Manpower, Equipment and Change Models)
. Key Responsibilities
- Team Leader - Lead, motivate and mentor CNC operator, providing guidance, training, and support to
ensure high performance and adherence to procedures.
- Production Oversight - Coordinate daily workflow, assign task to members/operator, and monitor
the progress to production deadlines and target.
- Machine Operations - Oversee machine set-up, perform tooling adjustment, and ensure machinery
is operated in accordance with set guidelines and procedures.
- Technical Trouble Shooting - Act as the primary point of contact for resolving technical & operational
issues, performing basic repairs when possible, or submitting work orders to maintenance
- Process Improvement - Identify opportunities for process enhancement, waste reduction and
improved equipment performance.
- Communication and Reporting - Maintain clear communication within the team and with
management, provide accurate production information for reporting, and assist in leading team
meeting.
- Training and Development - Train new and existing personnel on best practices, new procedures
and equipment operation to ensure skills development and continuous improvement
Qualifications
• For technical or vocational course; TESDA certificate is an advantage.
• At least 5 years minimum hands-on experience in CNC and skiving operations for jigs,
fixtures, mold, and die products.
• Strong knowledge of CNC and skiving programming including G-code.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting technical drawings and machining blueprints.
• Experience with precision measurement and quality control processes.
• Basic mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
