Backhoe Operator

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate backhoe equipment to dig trenches, foundations, and other earthworks as per project plans.
• Load and move materials such as soil, gravel, and debris.
• Perform routine inspection and maintenance of the backhoe to ensure proper working condition.
• Follow safety protocols and site-specific procedures at all times.
• Read and interpret construction plans, grades, and elevations.
• Assist with other construction tasks as needed when equipment is not in use.
• Report equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisors immediately.
• Ensure work is completed on schedule and in compliance with project specifications.
• Collaborate with ground workers, supervisors, and other operators for efficient site operations.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a backhoe operator or similar role in construction.
• Valid operator's license or certification for heavy equipment (VALID NC II)
• Strong understanding of equipment operation, maintenance, and safety standards.
• Physical stamina and coordination to operate machinery and work in outdoor conditions.
