QUALIFICATON:

  • Graduate of four (4) years in Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy with licensed.
  • At least six (6) months of work experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

A. Performs evaluation to assess the extent of patient's impairments, activity limitations, participation, restrictions, and potential for rehabilitation.

B. Formulates rehabilitation goals and intervention plan.

C. Communicates to the patient and/or family the evaluations findings and verifies their expectations regarding the general process of rehabilitation.

D. Administers prescribed physical therapy to patients with the use of physical agents, therapeutic exercises, and manual therapy.

E. Ensures continuity of rehabilitation at home using home exercise program.

F. Assesses and trains patients and their families in the use and care of rehabilitation materials such as orthoses, prostheses and assistive devices.

G. Collaborates with other rehabilitation professionals (i.e physiatrists, occupational therapists, speech therapist, prosthetics and orthotists) and other medical and healthcare professionals for holistic patient management.

H. Monitors and recommends the proper use, maintenance, inventory and upgrading of rehabilitation equipment, supplies and materials.

I. Prepares plans, programs and project proposals relevant to rehabilitation therapy.

Performs other relevant duties as may be assigned.
