Role Overview:

The Project Manager (Constructor) is responsible for managing all aspects of new site developments and upgrades of WrkPod
facilities in Bacolod and Iloilo for a 6 month duration
. This includes preparing and presenting detailed project scopes for management sign-off, planning and overseeing construction activities, and ensuring compliance with Philippine laws and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

1. Project Scoping & Planning

  • Prepare detailed project scopes (budgets, timelines, risk assessments, resources).
  • Conduct site assessments before finalizing project scope.
  • Align construction objectives with company operations.
  • Develop draft project plans to set clear expectations for stakeholders and the construction team.

2. Construction & Renovation Management

  • Manage all phases of construction and renovation from start to final handover.
  • Supervise and coordinate contractors, vendors, and subcontractors.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve delays/issues, and provide management updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and WrkPod construction policies.

3. Regulatory Compliance & Permitting

  • Secure all necessary local government permits (building, zoning, occupancy, environmental).
  • Ensure full compliance with Philippine construction laws and regulations.
  • Coordinate with regulatory bodies, architects, engineers, and consultants.
  • Manage DOLE and OSH compliance (submissions, inspections, documentation).

4. Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Track expenses and maintain financial discipline throughout the project.
  • Provide cost estimates and manage procurement of materials, labor, and services.
  • Identify risks, prevent cost overruns, and maintain a Risk Register alongside project plans.

5. Quality Assurance & Handover

  • Conduct regular quality inspections against WrkPod standards.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of facility systems (electrical, HVAC, security, etc.).
  • Prepare and deliver complete handover documentation (as-built plans, compliance certificates).

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate documentation (scopes, permits, contracts, reports).
  • Provide regular progress reports to the Operations Manager and senior leadership.
  • Capture lessons learned and contribute to continuous improvement of project practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or related field.
  • Certification/training in Project Management (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) preferred.
  • Minimum
    5 years of experience
    in building construction, site development, or renovations.
  • Strong knowledge of Philippine construction laws, permits, and regulations.
  • Proven experience securing permits and working with LGUs and regulatory agencies.
  • Excellent skills in project planning, contractor management, budgeting, and risk control.
