We are recruiting a highly skilled Database Administrator to join our team in Manila, Philippines. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent time-management and interpersonal skills, and a passion for working with a Technology application development team working in an agile fast paced environment.  

Job Requirements

Qualifications, Skills & Experience

• Education
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

• Master's degree preferred but not mandatory.

• Experience

• 5–7+ years of experience in SQL Server data base administration.

• Proven experience with major database platforms SQL Server, MySQL.
• Experience with Azure SQLPortal ,managing & monitoring resources through the portal andpowershell.
• Experience with Azure Synapse.
• Hands-on experience With Document DB's e. g Cosmo DB and MongoDB Atlas.
• Hands-on experience with high-availability and disaster recovery technologies across a range of DB providers.
• Certifications (Preferred)
  • Microsoft Certified Database Administrator (MCDBA), Oracle DBA, AWS certifications, ITIL.

Job Responsibilities

• Performance & Optimization
• Monitor andoptimizedatabase performance and capacity.

• Troubleshoot and resolve database performance issues and production incidents.

• Security & Compliance

• Establish and maintain security and integrity controls.
• Ensure compliance with audit best practices and corporate policies.

• Perform database security audits and implement protection measures.

• Backup & Disaster Recovery

• Develop and maintain backup, recovery, and disaster recovery strategies.

• Implement high-availability solutions and replication for failover environments.

• Collaboration & Leadership

• Liaise with Product Owners, Business Analysts, and Development Teams.
• Mentor junior DBAs and provide technical leadership.

• Work closely with Data Architects and stakeholders to clarify requirements.

• Maintenance & Upgrades

• Manage database upgrades, patches, and migrations.
• Create andmaintaindocumentation for standards, policies, and procedures.

Job Benefits

This role is a full-time, hybrid position that requires regular office attendance (3x per week). This position is based in our Makati City office.
