Sr. Underwriter

Job Summary:

The position is responsible for managing the engineering / property / marine & fire portfolio, overseeing the underwriting team, and ensuring that they understand expectations and delivery timelines in taking acceptable risk or business for driving profitability within the company.

What you'll do:

• Analyze, evaluate, and make underwriting decisions in line with the underwriting guidelines and recommendations
• Liaise with brokers, underwriters, and other intermediaries to understand detailed clauses within contracts and develop innovative procedures in Underwriting
• Establishing professional relationships with internal and external clients

What you need to have:

• Graduate with any Bachelor's Degree
• More than 5 years of relevant work experience in Underwriting and Risk Management
• High Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Ability to analyze processes information, identify problems, and develop effective solutions and strategies
• Effective verbal and written communication
• Have the ability to take disciplinary action when necessary
• Strong analytical, creativity skills, and interpersonal capabilities
• Well-developed verbal and written communication skills
• Background in Non-life Insurance, end-premium, Underwriting profit, and Risk Management
