Business Intelligence and Fraud Analyst Supervisor

GENERAL FUNCTION

Determines the business impact of current sports update, both in the local and international scene, and help identify potential product-improvements to multiply player base and turnover. Supervises major scope of team role including but not limited to data management, reporting and fraud analytics.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Intelligence and Fraud Analytics

  • Produces in-depth sports and business analysis using statistics and sports science based on the daily metrics generated by the team.
  • Creates recommendation based on evident trends, comparison of brand offered markets versus competitors,
  • Coordinates with other departments to cater reports needs and product analysis
  • Ensures that regular audit findings are scrutinized and escalated if necessary
  • Regularly reviews current procedures for improvement or whenever any changes are implemented to adapt to operational needs.
  • Act quickly and decisively when any risk and control weakness becomes apparent and ensure they are addressed within an appropriate timeframe and escalated through relevant department.
  • Collaborate with business partners to ensure that fraud controls are considered as part of risk management activities, incorporated into product or service risk profiles, adequately designed and operating effectively.

Reports

  • Work closely with Business Analytics Assistants and other departments to identify data requirements from each team.
  • Produce periodic and end of season reports analyzing key factors affecting the output of certain sports events
  • Create and deliver thorough reporting, analytics, cross-channel trend reporting, fraud risk exposure analyses, profitability metrics and strategic performance tracking.
  • Provide recommendations for improving existing processes within scope of role
  • Performs other tasks as directed by immediate superior.

Administrative Affairs

  • Supervises and monitors team/individual performance and ensures that regular feedback is provided to each staff.
  • Accomplishes all required form and regular reports relevant to the position in a timely and accurate manner
  • Adheres to all the company's administrative policies and procedures and enforces the same
  • Ensures the positive reflection of the company's image through appropriate behavior and demeanor in conducting company business

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • With relevant experience in a similar role/responsibility
  • With 1-2years experience in database management//analytics
  • Adept with various reporting tools and software especially Oracle SQL
  • Has vast knowledge of 'relational database management systems' (RDBMS), 'object oriented database management systems' (OODBMS) and XML database management systems
  • Has good organizational skills
  • Has good numerical and analytical skills
  • Has good communication and interpersonal relationship skills
  • Willing to render overtime and/or be on shifting schedule
  • On-call even during weekends and holidays
  • Can coordinate with various personnel across the company
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technology
