Reese IT Services is a trusted Managed IT Services Provider specializing in Microsoft-centric solutions including Microsoft Intune, Defender, Purview, Entra ID, and Azure. We support clients across Healthcare, Engineering, Finance, Staffing, and other industries, helping them achieve secure, modern workplaces through IT design, engineering, and operations.

As part of our growing Security Operations Center (SOC), we are looking for an Associate SOC Analyst who will play a key role in monitoring, analyzing, and responding to security incidents in a fast-paced MSP environment.

Responsibilities

• Security Monitoring: Monitor alerts from SIEM, EDR (Microsoft Defender), Intune, and Microsoft 365 Security portals.
• Incident Response Support: Assist in triaging security events, escalating issues to senior analysts when necessary.
• Threat Intelligence: Stay updated on common phishing, malware, and endpoint security threats affecting SMBs.
• Log Analysis: Perform basic log reviews from Windows, Microsoft 365, and Azure environments.
• Ticketing & Documentation: Open, update, and close tickets in the ITSM system (Microsoft Dynamics 365 / Jira). Document incident findings and resolutions.
• Compliance Support: Support SOC2, HIPAA, and ISO-aligned security monitoring tasks.
• Collaboration: Work with IT Operations and Engineering teams to ensure effective remediation of incidents.

Qualifications
Required Skills & Experience (aligned to entry-level salary band)

• Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent training/experience).
• Basic knowledge of cybersecurity concepts (malware, phishing, firewalls, antivirus, identity protection).
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 Security tools (Defender, Intune, Security & Compliance Center).
• Understanding of Windows environments (Active Directory, user authentication, endpoint management).
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and eagerness to learn.
• Good written and verbal communication in English.

Preferred but Not Required (adds growth potential)

• Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, or equivalent.
• Exposure to SIEM platforms (e.g., Microsoft Sentinel).
• Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell, Python) for automation.
