JOB DESCRIPTION:

Provide direct assistance to library patrons by offering reference and information services, including locating materials and suggesting relevant resources. The librarian will also contribute to collection development, and manage library records. Reporting directly to the Head Librarian. Assist in facilitating library orientations, lectures, and other activities as key responsibilities, along with supervising library associates and student assistants. Furthermore, the individual will actively seek opportunities to enhance the library's reputation and undertake other assigned needed task.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Library and Information Science

  • Licensed Librarian
  • One –two years' experience in school/academic library Effective written and oral communication skills
  • Adequate computer skills in MS Office & library electronic catalog systems
  • With people management skills and organizational ability
