Purpose of the Role

The GIS Analyst will support enterprise GIS operations setup — including data processing, system migration, service standardization, and stakeholder coordination — to expand and consolidate GIS systems across the organization and for its clients (Developing Member Countries).

Scope of Work / Key Responsibilities

The
Associate GIS Analyst
will play a key role in supporting ADB's enterprise GIS initiative through a combination of technical, analytical, and coordination tasks, including:

  • Participating in daily stand-ups
    and executing assigned GIS-related activities such as data processing, hosting, visualization, simulation, analysis, and creation of GIS hub outputs.
  • Standardizing and maintaining the GIS service catalog
    , preparing service request forms, defining workflows, and developing necessary reports, including outputs for AskIT, ADO, and dashboards.
  • Supporting GIS stakeholder communication and governance
    by assisting in the preparation of workshop materials, communication materials, and decision notes to ensure alignment across teams.
  • Setting up and managing collaboration platforms
    , including SharePoint and Microsoft Teams, to facilitate content management, document sharing, and effective communication within the GIS community.
  • Collaborating with the GIS technical team
    to assist in the migration of systems and data from SPADE to the new Enterprise GIS platform, ensuring smooth transition and operational readiness.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • 3+ years in
    business analysis
  • 5+ years in
    GIS operations
  • 3+ years in
    IT application design & testing

Technical Skills:

  • ArcGIS Enterprise (preferred)
  • SharePoint, Power Automate, Power BI (basic)
