Rigger

Job Summary:

The Rigger is responsible for safely setting up, assembling, and dismantling rigging equipment used in lifting, hoisting, and positioning heavy materials or structures. The role involves working closely with crane operators, signalmen, and other crew members to ensure that all lifting operations are carried out efficiently and in compliance with safety standards and company procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

• Inspect and prepare rigging equipment, cables, pulleys, hooks, and slings before use.
• Set up and secure rigging for lifting or moving materials, machinery, and structural components.
• Direct crane or hoist operators using hand signals, radios, or other communication methods.
• Assist in loading and unloading materials safely and accurately.
• Ensure proper weight distribution and balance of loads during lifting operations.
• Conduct routine checks on rigging tools and report any damage or defects.
• Follow all company and government-mandated safety protocols (e.g., DOLE Occupational Safety and Health Standards).
• Coordinate with supervisors and engineers to plan and execute rigging activities according to lifting plans.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of rigging areas and tools.
• Participate in toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and other site orientation

Qualifications:

• At least a High School Diploma or TESDA Certification in Rigging, Scaffold Erection, or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in rigging or lifting operations (construction, plant, oil& gas, or industrial projects).
• Knowledge of safe rigging practices, load calculations, and lifting equipment inspection.
• Physically fit and able to work at heights and in outdoor environments.
• Familiar with Philippine safety standards and DOLE regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work effectively in a team.
• Can apply as a team
