Vulnerability Analyst

Location: MOA, Pasay (Hybrid – 2–4x/month onsite)

Schedule: Mid Shift (Login at 4:00 or 5:00 PM)

Employment Type: Full-time

Job Summary

  • We're looking for a highly analytical and technically skilled Vulnerability Analyst to identify, assess, and communicate emerging cybersecurity threats. This role involves writing technical reports, developing detection templates, and collaborating with internal teams to enhance threat intelligence capabilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze and assess newly disclosed or exploited vulnerabilities.
  • Research infection chains, IoCs, malware samples, threat actors, and MITRE ATT&CK techniques.
  • Author daily TTP Instance notes with threat summaries, impact assessments, and mitigation strategies.
  • Develop and deliver Nuclei templates for vulnerability scanning (at least 1 per month).
  • Adhere to information security policies and report any risks or incidents.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and contribute to platform enhancements and automation.

Must-Have Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or Cyber Intelligence.
  • 1–2 years of experience in cybersecurity (threat detection, penetration testing, or vulnerability assessment).
  • Strong grasp of cybersecurity principles, attack trajectories, and vulnerability analysis techniques.
  • Experience with threat intelligence models (MITRE ATT&CK, D3FEND, Diamond Model, Cyber Kill Chain).
  • Familiarity with tools like VirusTotal, Shodan, Domain Tools, etc.
  • Demonstrated technical writing skills and ability to explain complex concepts clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to work independently or in teams.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

  • Experience creating Nuclei templates.
  • Hands-on with penetration testing tools (Burp Suite, Nmap, ZAP, Metasploit, Wireshark).
  • Familiarity with scripting languages (YAML, Python, Golang, JavaScript, C).
  • Experience in incident response or quick reaction teams.
  • Knowledge of malware detection tools (YARA, Sigma, Snort).
