Key Responsibilities
- Medical Treatment: The primary duty of a resort nurse is to provide medical treatment to guests and staff members who experience injuries or illnesses while at the resort. This includes administering first aid and performing other medical interventions as necessary.
- Monitoring Patient Conditions: Resort nurses are responsible for monitoring, recording, and reporting symptoms and changes in patients' conditions. This includes keeping detailed health records and vital signs.
- Health Education: Nurses may also educate guests and staff about health practices and wellness strategies, promoting a healthy lifestyle.
- Emergency Response: Resort nurses must be prepared to respond to medical emergencies, providing immediate care and stabilizing patients until further medical assistance can be obtained.
- Record Keeping: They are responsible for maintaining accurate health records, preparing accident reports, inventory reports, and ensuring confidentiality of patient information.
- Collaboration with Other Staff: They work closely with other resort staff to ensure a safe and healthy environment for guests, participating in health and safety training programs as needed.
- Others. The resort nurse may do administrative tasks under the human resources department.
