Job Purpose:
The QHSE Engineer is responsible for overseeing and ensuring the quality, health, safety, and environmental compliance of the 230kV Substation project. The role ensures that all site activities—from commencement to commissioning—are executed in accordance with NGCP standards, EPC contract requirements, company procedures, and regulatory laws. This position also coordinates with multidisciplinary engineering teams and supports documentation and reporting for both quality and HSE performance.
Key Responsibilities:Quality Assurance & Quality Control (QA/QC)
- Conduct on-site quality control inspections for civil, electrical, and structural works related to the 230kV substation.
- Ensure that construction activities comply with NGCP standards, project specifications, approved drawings, and ITPs (Inspection & Test Plans).
- Prepare and maintain quality reports, checklists, inspection forms, test records, and NCR/CAR documentation.
- Verify materials, tools, and equipment delivered onsite to ensure compliance with approved quality requirements.
- Coordinate with design and construction teams regarding quality issues, design conflicts, and corrective actions.
Health, Safety & Environment (HSE)
- Implement and monitor compliance with HSE policies, risk assessments, method statements, and safety procedures.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings, safety inductions, site inspections, and hazard identification.
- Ensure proper use of PPE, safe work practices, and adherence to statutory safety rules.
- Assist in incident / accident investigations and develop corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain HSE records, permits, and documentation required for audits and owner inspections.
Qualifications:
- Licensed Electrical Engineer or Civil Engineer.
- At least 5 years of experience in DPWH, energy, construction, or EPC projects.
- Strong understanding of substation construction, QA/QC procedures, and safety regulations.
- Knowledgeable in NGCP standards, Philippine Electrical Code, DPWH standards, and relevant engineering codes.
- Proficient in report preparation, documentation, and coordination activities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, especially when dealing with owners and subcontractors.
- Willing to be relocated in Ilocos Norte
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Php30, Php40,000.00 per month
