Profile Requirements:

  • Final Cut Pro Expertise: Minimum 5.5+ years of advanced editing experience with Final Cut Pro X, including multi-cam workflows, transitions, stabilization, and color grading. Must have experience using advanced FCPX plugins and tools such as Motion VFX and Ryan Nagle's packages (access provided).
  • Real Estate Industry Experience: Proven experience editing videos for real estate listings, including familiarity with drone integration and walkthrough formats. Must have experience exporting and optimizing video content specifically for Instagram, YouTube, and MLS platforms.
  • Visual Eye for Property Marketing: Strong design and composition sense, especially in showcasing architectural features, interior lighting, and exterior landscaping.
  • Fast & Reliable Workflow: Ability to manage high-volume content with fast turnaround while maintaining consistent visual and brand quality.
  • Client-Facing Communication Skills: Comfortable receiving and executing on client feedback, with strong written and verbal communication for remote collaboration.
  • Technical Requirements: Access to a fast Mac editing setup can be provided via remote connection. Must have a strong, fast, and reliable internet connection to support smooth remote editing workflows.

Core responsibilities:

  • Real Estate Video Editing: Edit real estate video presentations using Final Cut Pro, combining ground-level footage, drone shots, and music to highlight property features with a cinematic edge.
  • Cohesive Visual Storytelling: Structure video narratives that match the aesthetic expectations of modern real estate buyers and align with brand guidelines and listing goals.
  • Turnaround & Delivery: Must be able to complete one full video within a single shift, with the second video from that batch delivered the next day. Ideally, candidates should be able to edit a high-quality real estate video within 4-5 hours depending on complexity, with the expectation of completing two per day when needed.
  • Footage Management: Organize and sync raw media from multiple camera sources (drone and ground), ensuring color consistency, clean transitions, and audio clarity.
  • Collaborative Revisions: Work closely with producers and clients to implement feedback quickly and accurately, especially for high-stakes listings or brand-driven content.
  • Content Optimization: Export and optimize videos for MLS platforms, YouTube, and Instagram, tailoring resolutions and formats for various marketing channels. Must be up to date with current high-quality real estate video trends.
