Staff Accountant (Hybrid | Night Shift | Work From Home Option)

Location: Hoffman Estates, IL (Hybrid)

A nationally recognized brand-implementation and facilities services company is seeking a detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join its growing Accounting team. This organization supports multi-site clients across the U.S. with customized branded environments, signage, and ongoing facility maintenance solutions.

Position Overview

The Staff Accountant will play a key role in ensuring accurate financial reporting, supporting month-end close, and improving accounting processes. This position works closely with leadership and supports multiple business units.

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement with night-shift availability and work-from-home flexibility.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and post journal entries to the general ledger
  • Perform monthly bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Support month-end and year-end close processes
  • Provide financial analysis and reporting support
  • Assist with internal and external audit requests
  • Maintain compliance with accounting standards and internal controls
  • Identify and implement process improvements
  • Participate in special projects and ad-hoc financial analysis

Qualifications

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting
  • 2+ years of progressive accounting experience

Technical Skills

  • Strong Microsoft Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables, SUMIF)
  • Microsoft Word & Outlook
  • Preferred: QuickBooks, Salesforce, Accounting Seed
