IT Specialist

Position Summary

The IT Specialist/Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily technology operations, managing IT systems, ensuring network security, and providing technical support to end users. This role supervises IT staff, coordinates projects, and ensures the organization's technology environment is reliable, secure, and aligned with business goals.

Team Leadership & Supervision

• Supervise IT staff, assign tasks, and ensure timely issue resolution.
• Provide training and mentorship to junior technicians.
• Coordinate with management and other departments on technology needs.
• Prepare documentation, reports, and standard operating procedures (SOPs).

Project Management

• Lead or support IT infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and implementation projects.
• Manage IT inventory, licenses, and vendor relationships.
• Evaluate new technologies and recommend improvements.

Qualifications
Education & Experience

• Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• IT support/administration experience; supervisory experience preferred.

Technical Skills proficiency is highly expected like strong knowledge of windows server, active directory, and network protocols, experience with virtualization, familiarity with cybersecurity tools and best practices and proficiency in trouble shooting hardware/software issues.
Soft Skills

• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Ability to prioritize tasks, manage a team, and work under pressure.

Working Conditions

• On-site and remote support as needed.
• May require on-call availability for emergencies
