Our CompanyNWUIntroductionNORTH-WEST UNIVERSITY (MAHIKENG CAMPUS) FACULTY OF EDUCATION POSITION NUMBER: M000370 VACANCY: ASSOCIATE PROFESSOR PEROMNES GRADE: A6 EMPLOYMENT TYPE: PERMANENT APPOINTMENTJob DescriptionPURPOSE OF THE POSITIONTo fill a vacancy in the School of Professional Studies for the subject group, Comparative and International Education. Key ResponsibilitiesTeaching undergraduate and postgraduate modules. Teaching and supervision: Postgraduate M & PhD students.

Study guide and material development. Personal research and support of research entity. Initiating and planning of strategic research initiatives.

Community service and social responsiveness. Minimum RequirementsA PhD (NQF 10) in Comparative and International Education. A minimum of five (5) years' experience in the higher education environment.

Author/co-author of at least 5 research articles in accredited journals since 2020. Involvement in supervision of at least 5 Master's (to completion) and 1 doctoral students (to completion). Have a proven record of presenting/attending relevant national and international conferences.

Added Advantages & PreferencesLeader of funded research projects. Involvement in NRF – funded research projects. Key Functional/Technical CompetenciesDemonstration of initiative and academic leadership.

Research skills, interpersonal skills/communication, and computer literacy. Key Behavioural CompetenciesTeam worker. Good interpersonal skills.
