  • Has a certificate of completion for the 40-hour BOSH training for Safety Officer 2 from a DOLE-accredited Safety Training Organization (other relevant certifications is also an advantage)
  • Knowledgeable in Occupational Safety and Health Standards (OSHS) and environmental regulations

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement safety policies, plans and programs ensuring adherence to local and national regulations
  • Develop and carry out emergency action plans.
  • Conduct risk assessments, identify hazards and perform inspections on a regular basis to minimize accidents/incidents
  • Conduct safety orientations, toolbox meetings and training applicable to all employees
  • Coordinate with different departments for implementation and monitoring of safety guidelines
  • Investigate accidents and near-misses, report findings and recommend corrective actions to prevent recurrence
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, trainings, accidents/incidents and compliance reports

Performs other related functions as may be assigned by the immediate superior from time to time.
