Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist in receiving, weighing, and recording incoming recyclable materials (e.g., metal, plastic, paper).
  • Sort materials according to type, grade, or condition.
  • Clean and prepare items for resale or recycling.
  • Help in loading and unloading materials from vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the junkshop and storage areas.
  • Operate basic tools and equipment (e.g., weighing scales, carts, basic cutting tools).
  • Assist customers and answer basic questions about materials or pricing.
  • Follow safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Perform other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.
Qualifications:
  • No formal education required; High School diploma is a plus.
  • Previous experience in recycling, warehouse, or manual labor is an advantage but not required.
  • Ability to lift heavy objects (up to 50 kg).
  • Willingness to work outdoors or in dusty/noisy environments.
  • Reliable, hardworking, and physically fit.
  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

Working Conditions:
  • Outdoor and warehouse work.
  • Exposure to dust, dirt, noise, and various recyclable materials.
  • May involve heavy lifting and prolonged standing or walking.
