About the role
We are seeking a talented Wine Steward to join our dynamic team at ZC Kings Manpower Janitorial Services Cooperative' in Ayala Alabang, Muntinlupa City, Metro Manila. As a full-time Wine Steward, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional wine service and expertise to our discerning clientele.
What you'll be doing
- Expertly curate and manage the wine selection, ensuring it aligns with the restaurant's culinary offerings and customer preferences
- Provide knowledgeable recommendations and guidance to customers on wine pairings and selections
- Oversee the proper storage, handling and service of all wines
- Maintain comprehensive wine inventory and ordering systems
- Train and mentor the service team on wine knowledge and service standards
- Assist in the development of wine-focused promotional activities and events
- Ensure compliance with all relevant licensing and regulatory requirements
What we're looking for
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Wine Steward or Sommelier in a high-end restaurant or hospitality setting
- Extensive knowledge of wine varieties, regions, vintages and food pairings
- Proven track record of successfully managing wine programs and inventory
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Strong organisational and problem-solving abilities
- Passion for wine and a desire to continuously expand your wine knowledge
