Mason/Carpenter

Responsibilities:

• Carpentry:
• Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood, plywood, and wallboard.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials.
• Install and repair doors, windows, frames, stairs, and other woodwork.
• Build scaffolding, forms, and other temporary structures.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Maintain and use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Masonry:
• Lay bricks, concrete blocks, stone, and other masonry materials.
• Mix mortar, grout, and other bonding agents.
• Construct and repair walls, foundations, fireplaces, chimneys, and other masonry structures.
• Apply finishing and decorative treatments to masonry surfaces.
• Ensure proper alignment and leveling of masonry work.
• Prepare and clean work sites.
• Repairing and restoring damaged masonry.
• General:
• Adhere to all safety regulations and procedures.
• Collaborate with other tradespeople and project managers.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Accurately estimate time and materials for projects.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Carpenter/Mason.
• Strong knowledge of carpentry and masonry techniques and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
• Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
• Excellent problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Physical stamina and ability to lift heavy materials.
• Certification or formal training in carpentry or masonry is a plus.
