THE COMPANY:

Our client is a U.S. based video subscription company. 

Established 30 years ago, they produce online educational video courses on subjects such as history, science, music, philosophy, arts and travel.

THE JOB:

The Motion Graphics Editor is a skilled editor of both video AND and graphics assets. They are responsible for editing courses with studio media or voiceover narration, and on-screen assets, as well as creating additional graphic assets, templates, and animations. 

This is a full time role (40 hours per week) for a 12 month contract period. Working hours are flexible but you must be available for some overlap with the US business hours for the initial training and also some weekly team meetings.

Responsibilities include:

  • Editing of video and graphics assets
  • Bringing educational concepts to life using 2D graphics
  • Working with a producer or the graphics coordinator to execute the storyboard requests
  • At times, executing simple title animations based on assets provided
  • Meeting tight production deadlines for multimedia production release dates

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

  1. MUST have minimum 5 years' experience in creating motion graphics and editing videos

  2. MUST have intermediate to advanced knowledge of Adobe:

  3. Photoshop

  4. Premiere Pro
  5. After Effects

3. MUST have home office set up including:

  • Fast and reliable internet connection
  • A reliable computer with additional external storage
  • Most up to date software licence for Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and Photoshop (or willing to obtain if successful)

OTHER SELECTION CRITERIA:

  • Ability to contribute ideas, proactively participate and work in a collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work with minimum supervision, effectively manage problems and meet deadlines
  • Ability to perform well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
  • You must be available to work in line with American business hours - or at lease overlap with part of these hours
  • University degree in Video Production or a relevant area
