Job Description The NICR Expert serves as the operational security Subject Matter Expert (SME) within the Network Technology Group (NTG). Main role is to manages and ensures the implementation of security incident and vulnerability remediation activities. Downloads company Data Privacy and Information Security Policies for Network Equipment and ensures compliance for NTG. Manages User Access Assets and reviews Role-Based Access Matrix for NTG Live EquipmentI. Duties and Responsibilities

A. Security Implementation & Remediation (Execution)

  • Vulnerability Management: Analyze, monitor, and implement remediation activities for security vulnerabilities identified by ISDP VAR.
  • Intrusion Control: Implement Network Intrusion Controls for NTG Network Elements as guided by ISDP Policies.
  • System Administration: Perform system administration tasks for accountable Network Elements/Applications/Platforms (NEs/Apps/Platforms).
  • Policy Compliance: Download and ensure compliance with all ISDP Security Policies concerning Network Equipment.
  • Remediation Tracking: Endorse and track the closure of remediation activities to resolve security vulnerabilities promptly.

B. Threat & Incident Response

  • Threat Sweeping: Respond to and execute Threat and Event Sweeping requests originating from the ISDP SOC.
  • Incident Support: Track the resolution of network security incidents and provide technical support in analysis and prevention.
  • Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Conduct RCAs for security issues and implement recommendations to prevent future threats and vulnerabilities.
  • Operational Security POC: Act as the Point of Contact (POC) for all security audits and findings across Operations (OPS).

C. Access, Compliance, and Governance

  • User Access Management (UAM): Manage User Access Assets and review Role-Based Access (RBA) Matrix for NTG Live Equipment.
  • LAR/RBA Review: Review and implement Logical Access Review (LAR) remediation activities and ensure proper role definition in the RBA Matrix.
  • Provisioning: Implement User Account creation, deletion, and/or modification requests for Core Elements.
  • Project Assurance (Gatekeeper): Represent Operational Security Requirements for new network elements/projects, ensuring compliance with security guidelines prior to operationalization (system acceptance/transition).
  • Procedures & Strategy: Update Network Security Procedures & Guidelines for Network Operations and formulate strategies to improve the remediation process.
II. RequirementsA. Work Experience & Education
  • Experience: Minimum five (5) years of experience in Network Operations, Technical Support, Systems Engineering, or equivalent, preferably within the IT/Telco industry.
  • Education: Minimum Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
B. Technical Knowledge & Certifications
  • Essential: Proficient knowledge of system administration for Linux and Windows platforms.
C. Core Competencies
  • Functional Expertise: Demonstrates expert-level technical knowledge in various areas of networking, including policy design and information transfer protocols.
  • Project Management: Proven ability to manage and drive complex security implementation projects, ensuring adherence to scope, schedule, and stakeholder requirements.
  • Problem Solving & Analytical Skills: Exceptional ability to analyze complex network/system problem areas, conduct root cause analysis, and generate viable, quality solutions within given time and resource constraints.
  • Business Acumen: Ability to determine expenditure levels, justify budget estimates for projects, and convert key business objectives into actionable work plans.
  • Leadership & Communication: Ability to translate complex technical terms and concepts into clear, concise business language (oral and written), while demonstrating negotiation and conflict resolution skills to benefit all stakeholders.
  • Capability Building: Proven capacity to identify skill gaps, determine training needs, and build team competency based on present and future requirements.
