The Warehouse Team Leader oversees the daily operations of the warehouse team to ensure efficient, accurate, and safe handling of inventory, shipments, and storage. This role involves supervising staff, maintaining workflow, and coordinating with other departments to meet company goals.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Lead, motivate, and manage warehouse staff to achieve productivity targets and maintain high morale.
  • Assign tasks and supervise activities such as receiving, storing, picking, packing, and shipping inventory.
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate documentation for all goods received and dispatched.
  • Implement and enforce safety policies, procedures, and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
  • Train new and existing team members on warehouse procedures, equipment use, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with logistics, procurement, and customer service teams to optimize warehouse workflow and resolve issues.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits and cycle counts to maintain accuracy and reduce discrepancies.
  • Maintain warehouse equipment and ensure proper utilization to minimize downtime.
  • Support performance evaluations and disciplinary actions as needed to maintain productivity and adherence to company policies.
  • Maintain the work area clean, safe and organized.
  • Perform other job-related responsibilities or tasks that are not stipulated on this document but assigned by your superior or required by the company.
  • Following company rules and regulations as specified in the Company Handbook.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education Level: High School Diploma or Technical/Vocational

Experience: At least six (6) months experience of the job requirement

Specific Skills: physical strength and stamina, ability to repetitive tasks, detail-oriented, understanding of industry and safety standards
